I-ThERM project’s advancement were presented during the special workshop “Energy Recovery Conversion and Management ‘ERCoM 2018. ERCoM 2018 run parallel to the 2nd International Conference on Sustainable Energy and Resource Use in Food Chains 2018 (ICSEF 2018) which took place between 17-19 October 2018 in Cyprus.

ICSEF 2018 covered all aspects of energy demand reduction and minimisation of resource use, including water and waste as well as related environmental impact across all stages of food chains from primary production to processing, distribution, retail, consumption and waste management.

The conference included the workshop on Energy Recovery Conversion and Management ‘ERCoM 2018. The objectives of the workshop were to report on the latest thinking, new approaches, technology developments and practices for waste heat recovery, its efficient utilization and conversion to different forms such as electrical power.

I-ThERM partners and invited speakers presented their progress from their research during the I-ThERM project and latest findings from research and development but also innovative technologies and approaches for heat recovery, efficient conversion and utilization of waste heat from industrial processes in front of an audience comprised by approximately 100 delegates from academia and industry.

The presentations covered heat recovery and conversion from both high and low temperature waste heat sources and provided opportunities for discussion and engagement with researchers, manufacturers and potential users of these technologies. All the presentation from the I-ThERM partners can be found at the Public Documents section of the I-ThERM website (www.itherm-project.eu).

I-ThERM project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 680599.
