I-ThERM Workshop in Industrial Thermal Energy Recovery, Conversion and Management, 24 October 2017, Brunel University, UK.

I-ThERM project organized a workshop on Industrial Thermal Energy Recovery, Conversion and Management in the 24th of October 2017 in the premises of Brunel University, UK.

I-ThERM partners and invited speakers presented their progress and latest findings from research and development but also innovative technologies and approaches for heat recovery, efficient conversion and utilization of waste heat from industrial processes in front of an audience comprised by approximately 100 delegates from academia and industry.

The presentations covered heat recovery and conversion from both high and low temperature waste heat sources and provided opportunities for discussion and engagement with researchers, manufacturers and potential users of these technologies. All the presentation can be found at the Public Documents section of the I-ThERM website (www.itherm-project.eu).

Presentations were followed by a visit in the laboratories of the University of Brunel and especially in the Center of Sustainable Energy use in the Food Chain (CSEF) where the research for the I-ThERM project is taking place.

I-ThERM present in GT Conference 2017, 9-10 October 2017, Frankfurt, Germany.

I-ThERM project participated in the Gamma Technologies (GT) Conference 2017, which took place during 9-10 October 2017, in Frankfurt, Germany.

The event brings together plenty of industrial stakeholders, mostly related to the automotive field in which the heat recovery is a topic of paramount relevance. In this two-day conference, Brunel University London was invited to share the modelling experience on waste heat to power conversion systems developed during the project, with a focus on the two-phase expander modelling for trilateral flash cycle applications (WP4 of I-ThERM project), during a presentation with subject : “GT SUITE as a Modeling Tool for Expanders and Pumps for Waste Heat Recovery. Furthermore, flyers related to the I-ThERM Workshop of the 24th of October at Brunel University London were distributed to the audience.
